About the founder, Tarah

Tarah was born and raised in London, England. Taking after her grandmother who was a professional dancer, Tarah was born to move. Athletics became more of an interest as she entered her teens, and she developed a passion for long distance running. At the age of 18 Tarah was first introduced to Pilates and the notion of core stability to improve her endurance and adaptability.

Pilates made a comeback later in her life in 2016 while living in NYC when she fell critically ill due to autoimmune complications. Having always been healthy, Tarah struggled being newly diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and the changes it was manifesting in her body.

Her ability to walk, to see, coordinate movement and balance was majorly impacted. She sought private Pilates sessions that slowly but surely helped her 'return to life'. This incredible recovery and journey are what inspired her to change career path and embark on becoming a Pilates Teacher.

Her vast experience

Having completed her comprehensive teacher training at the world-renowned Ellie Herman Pilates Institute in NYC, Tarah continues to further her education through PMA and ACE accredited workshops/courses around the world that focus on advanced training of different types of injuries and pathologies.

In her pursuit of becoming a world class Pilates Teacher, Tarah endeavours to help those recovering from illnesses and injuries as well as improving body image and general fitness.

Tarah has achieved her Master Teacher status through attending advanced courses and attaining Pilates certifications in the following:

  • FAMI (Functional Anatomy for Movement & Injuries) directed by the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai NYC & the Kinected Center
  • Kinesthetic Anatomy & Biomechanics of Motion: The Limbs and The Spine
  • Special Populations (including Autoimmune and Cancer patients)
